On turning 70
I'm grateful that this disabled body of mine has lasted this long
This is a message to all of you that are following me to say THANK YOU. I have been quite for some time, but as I turn this page in my life, I hope to come back here more often.
I want to let those that are paid subscribers know that I am grateful for your support. Your subscriptions help me to subsidize the work that I do that is unpaid. And I’m a big believer in generosity.
In the last year, I’ve become friends with a filmmaker in Zimbabwe who has a limb difference. Baron is creating community among creatives in his country but his efforts are spreading across subsaharan Africa. I am grateful for his friendship and for the chance to support his work. I’ll write more about Baron and his work soon.
In the meantime, I’m about to go and celebrate, but I didn’t want the day to go by without writing.
If you are feeling like supporting some of the work I do or the organizations that help my community survive, please consider donations to these organizations.
I have exciting news to share about a new documentary that I’ve started work on. I’m out of time, but I’ll say more soon.
What do you think this new film is about?
With love,
JIM

Happy Birthday, Jim! 🥳 70 is a big milestone! Glad to see you are celebrating. Take care! ❤️
